3 Peaks Sponsored Walk Part 2
Having been challenged by several work colleagues that he should also be completing the walk, David and his son Tom Procter also completed the Yorkshire 3 Peaks challenge on behalf of AFET. Their walk took place on July 18th 2009.
The Yorkshire Three Peaks Walk is a very demanding but rewarding walk, which takes in the summits of Pen-y-ghent (694 metres - 2,276 feet), Whernside (736 metres - 2,415 feet) and Ingleborough (723 metres 2,372 feet) all in one circular route. The walk is 25 miles in length with over 5000ft of climb.
