3 Peaks Sponsored Walk
On August 29th 2010, a hardy group of walkers are again attempting the Yorkshire 3 Peaks challenge on behalf of AFET. Last year's walk raised over £1000 for the charity. If you want to give it a go then contact us for more information.
The Yorkshire Three Peaks Walk is a very demanding but rewarding walk, which takes in the summits of Pen-y-ghent (694 metres - 2,276 feet), Whernside (736 metres - 2,415 feet) and Ingleborough (723 metres 2,372 feet) all in one circular route. The walk is 25 miles in length with over 5000ft of climb and by completing it in under 12 hours you can join the '3 Peaks Club'.
